Neighbourhood Center is a regional commercial service center with integrated functions like shopping, cultural entertainment, sports, health-care and education, by incorporating the advanced Singaporean public management experience and the realities of the industrial park.
Suzhou Industrial Park Neighbourhood Center Management Co., Ltd. was established in Nov. 1997, with a registered capital of RMB200 million, a total investment of RMB280 million and a total construction area of 108,265m2 . Currently, it has successfully developed and operated four multi-function commercial service centers, namely Neighbourhood Center Xincheng Plaza, Neighbourhood Center Guidu Plaza, Neighbourhood Center Shihui Plaza and Neighbourhood Center Hudong Plaza. There are two new centers--- Neighbourhood Center Qinyuan Plaza, Neighbourhood Center Linglong Plaza being under construction.
Ever since its establishment, the company has formed a complete and unique business concept for ‘Neighbourhood center' that is of strong Chinese characteristics in terms of development, construction and management. As for function deployment, it advocates a principle of ‘people orientation' through the commitment to 12 necessary functions, which well integrate the commercial and public interests, perfect and optimize the business industrial complex, strive for consumer-proprietor-shareholder satisfactions at the same time. As a result, it has gained aligned acknowledgement by both the Chinese and Singaporean governments, and has become one of the success models of Suzhou Industrial Park in the borrowing of Singaporean management experience.
In the near future, the Neighbourhood Center Management Co., Ltd. is going to continuously introduce strategic branding partners on the basis of these 12 necessary functions, and under the general business direction of building comprehensive community commercial services in all aspects, with mutli functions and at all levels. Besides, it will develop, construct and operate 17 Neighbourhood centers in good order according to the overall planning of the Industrial Park.
